My love of dogs has been a lifelong journey, but my passion for Border Collies began with a very special memory. As a child, my Nana, who also adored Border Collies, gave me a short story called 'Only One Woof' by James Herriot. That simple gift sparked a fascination with the breed that has stayed with me ever since. I was captivated by their intelligence, loyalty, and incredible partnership with people, and I knew one day I wanted Border Collies to be a part of my life.
Animals have always been at the center of my world. My journey began with horses, where I spent decades learning about training, structure, health, and the remarkable bond between people and animals. Those experiences shaped my approach to animal care and eventually led me deeper into the world of purebred dogs.
While Border Collies were always my first love, I later discovered the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and it wasn’t long before I fell in love with the breed’s joyful spirit, versatility, and enthusiasm for life.
Whether competing in dog sports, exploring the outdoors, or simply being an everyday companion, Tollers have an infectious personality that is impossible not to appreciate.
Today, my focus is on raising and caring for dogs with sound temperaments, excellent structure, and healthy, active lifestyles. I have a particular interest in canine health, conditioning, and lifelong wellness, believing that responsible ownership extends far beyond the show ring or competition field. Every dog deserves the opportunity to thrive both physically and mentally.
Through this website, I hope to share my experiences, celebrate these remarkable breeds, and connect with others who value responsible breeding, ethical ownership, and the lifelong relationships we build with our dogs. Whether you’re here to learn more about Border Collies, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, or simply because you share a love of dogs.
